Updated March 16, 2020 — Due to increasing concerns about COVID-19 (Coronavirus), SABOR is taking precautionary steps to do all we can to limit exposure to our members and employees. This follows the announcement on March 13 by President Trump declaring the Coronavirus outbreak a national emergency, as well as Governor Abbott’s declaration of a state of emergency for Texas and San Antonio Mayor Nirenberg’s declaration of a public health emergency, both the same day.
We are committed to the health and safety of our REALTOR® family, and we take that responsibility very seriously. Given this rapidly developing situation, we will be altering operations at both locations (as outlined below) for the safety of our members and our employees. We realize our services are critical for your work and that the business of real estate continues regardless of the situation. We remain ready, willing and able to provide you the exemplary service you expect from us even during this uncertain time.
These rising concerns in our communities will have unprecedented effects that we will continue to monitor in the coming days and weeks. During this time, we will conduct the business of the association as usual and do not anticipate any interruption in the services we provide to you.
We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding during this extraordinary time.

Here are the specifics regarding adjustments to operations.
Meetings and Events
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is recommending that events and gatherings be canceled or postponed. In light of this directive, beginning March 17, SABOR is cancelling or postponing scheduled events until further notice. This includes canceling New Member Orientation on March 18 and postponing Know Your City on March 20, Bust ‘Em Out Barbecue for TREPAC on March 25 and Wake Up YPN on March 26. New dates for those postponed events will be made available as they are determined.
For in-person meetings, including committee meetings, these will be rescheduled in a virtual format when possible but in some cases may be canceled. If you have a meeting scheduled, please look for a message soon from your staff liaison, or you may also contact your staff liaison for further instructions.
Classes and Educational Programming
SABOR’s REALTOR® Academy is canceling upcoming, in-person classes until further notice. If you would like a refund on your registration, please contact us and we will be happy to process it for you. However, if you would like to remain registered for the course you are taking, we can credit your registration to a future offering of that course.
If you are completing CE and are on a deadline, SABOR offers a host of online courses that provide CE credit. Right now, you can get 40% off on our online courses by using code SATX40 at checkout. Please contact the REALTOR® Academy at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 210-593-1275 if you cannot find a course you need or for any other educational needs you may have.
The Service Center location will be unavailable for member use until further notice; however, the main SABOR office located at 9110 IH 10 W will continue to operate during normal business hours (8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.).
If you would like to come in person, we will be ready and available for you. We also encourage you to allow us the opportunity to serve you online or by phone. You may do so by calling 210-593-1206 or emailing email@example.com for any questions regarding your membership, events, meetings or any other inquiries.
If you prefer the convenience of curbside service, starting March 17 order your items at least 30 minutes before arrival and you can pull up to one of the marked parking spots at the front of our building to pick them up. Once you arrive, simply call us at 210-593-1200 to let us know you are here and we will bring your items to you. **Please note for same-day curbside service you must order by 4:00 p.m.
