SABOR is proud to announce that SABOR member Sara Briseño Gerrish is one of only six REALTORS® across the state named among the “REALTORS® to Watch” by the Texas REALTORS® Young Professionals Network (YPN) at the Texas REALTORS® Conference in Ft. Worth on Sep. 12.
The REALTORS® to Watch award recognizes Texas REALTORS® under the age of 40 for their excellence in leadership, community involvement, and sales in 2019.
“We are so proud of Sara for achieving this distinguished award. Her professionalism and dedication to this industry and her community make her deserving of this honor,” said Grant Lopez, SABOR’s 2019 Chairman of the Board.
Beyond remarkable sales service in 2019, Gerrish was recognized for her involvement in the REALTOR® association at the local and statewide levels. She currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the San Antonio Board of REALTORS® and is a Texas REALTORS® YPN member. She has also served on the board for the San Antonio chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals. She sits on the National Association of REALTORS®’ Diversity Committee and will be the 2020 chair of the Texas REALTORS®’ Diversity Committee. She also serves as a director for the National Association of REALTORS® and the Texas Association of REALTORS®.
In addition to her service to the REALTOR® community, Gerrish has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to her local San Antonio roots. She is the current chair of the Affirmative Action Advisory Committee for the City of San Antonio and she volunteers as a Worth Repeating storyboard member for Texas Public Radio. She is also a past board member of the Junior League of San Antonio and the South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, and she is currently the vice-chair of the Real Estate Committee for the South Chamber.
“I am incredibly fortunate to combine my two passions – real estate and San Antonio – to help people achieve the American dream of homeownership in this city,” said Gerrish. “It is humbling and an honor to receive this award for getting to do what I love every day.”
