Applications Open to Serve at the State and National Levels

Have you considered serving at the state or national level on behalf of SABOR? 

Nominations to SABOR for consideration for serving on the Board of Directors at the Texas Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS® are now open. SABOR is also accepting applications for Regional Vice President (RVP) and TREPAC Trustee. These are great opportunities to get involved at a higher level in the real estate industry and give of your time, talents and expertise. Applications are due by September 12 at 12:00 p.m. and interviews will be conducted on September 14.

Read below for a description of each position:

NAR Director
Duties include attending the Mid-Year Convention (May) and Annual Convention (November) and providing a written report to the SABOR Board of Directors
NAR Directors are required to attend the Governance Meetings and the Board of Directors Meetings (May and November)

TAR Director
Prerequisite: Hold Primary SABOR Membership and serve two (2) years on a SABOR Committee or currently serving, or have served, on the SABOR Board of Directors; must have attended at least one TAR meeting within the last three years.
Duties include attending the TAR Winter Meeting (February) and TAR Annual Convention (September) and providing a written report to the Board of Directors following each meeting. Directors must attend the TAR Governance and Board of Directors Meetings, and the Regional Caucus (February & September).

Regional Vice President
Duties include attending the Winter Meeting (February), Annual Convention (September), and Regional Caucus (February & September), and providing a written report to the Board of Directors.

TREPAC Trustee
Prerequisite: Candidates must have served on either the SABOR Government Affairs Committee or the TREPAC Committee; Trustees should not be serving on the Executive Committee as a SABOR Officer simultaneously.

Duties include attending the Winter Meetings (February), TREPAC Orientation (October), and Annual Convention (September) and providing an update to the SABOR Board of Directors; attending local TREPAC events; and being a member of the SABOR Government Affairs Committee and ex-officio member of the SABOR TREPAC Committee.
