The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) is looking for qualified candidates for the Broker Responsibility Working Group. The Commission is currently accepting letters of interest to serve as members beginning in 2018. The Broker Responsibility Working group reviews experience requirements for brokers and supervisory role responsibilities. The group makes recommendations to the Commission based on its findings. The working group will be meeting as needed, and members may be asked to serve until the work of the group is finished.
Limited funds may be available for travel reimbursement for committee members, but members are not compensated for their time. To be considered for an appointment, individuals should send a cover letter and resume to TREC’s general counsel, Kerri Lewis, at firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline for applying is February 1, 2018. The Commission will announce appointments at their February 2018 meeting.
Participation in this working group is not only vital to the success of the agency, but play an instrumental role in shaping the regulation of real estate licensure in Texas. The Commission thanks all those individuals who participate.
