SABOR members participated in eight different charitable events over the course of 2017, ranging from Habitat to Humanity home builds to gathering donations for Hurricane Harvey victims.
As in years past, REALTORS® chose to focus mainly on helping those without a home or a safe place to live.
In addition to donating more than $10,000 to SAMMinistries, SABOR members also volunteered ther time to help with the charitable events and contributions listed below.
Habitat for Humanity Build (Mar. 2 and Oct. 6): 65 SABOR members gathered to participate in two Habitat for Humanity Builds in 2017.
Easter Egg Hunt at SAMM (April 13): SABOR members participated in hiding Easter eggs for the children at the SAMM shelter and helped the children throughout the egg hunt.
Uniform Drive (Summer 2017): Each year, SABOR members work closely with SAMMinistries, an organization working to prevent homelessness in San Antonio, to conduct a uniform drive. This year, SABOR members supplied 50 children with new uniforms before the start of their school year.
