Mayor Ivy R. Taylor’s Housing Summit invites the housing community to discuss the state of the current housing market, learn about the challenges in housing production, and engage with policy makers and housing providers to maximize resources and develop strategies to connect all San Antonians to opportunity.
The Mayor’s Housing Summit takes place on May 23 and 24 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. This year’s theme is “Practical Strategies for Community Building,” and includes both professional development opportunities and seminars about how San Antonio will address growth in the coming years.
The first day of the Summit is designed around professional development, including two courses offering three hours of CE each. The second day involves more roundtable sessions covering the following topics: finance and funding; homelessness; innovation and sustainability; neighborhoods; and policy. It also includes a breakfast and lunch session with keynote addresses by Mayor Ivy Taylor and sustainable urban revitalization expert Ellen Dunham-Jones.
